Dr. Jag Gill, BSc Hons Optom, OD
Dr Jag Gill has been an Optometrist for over 25 years. He graduated from the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom completing his training at the Halifax and Bradford Royal Infirmaries. He went on to study at the New England College of Optometry in Boston and has certification to practice in UK, USA, and Canada. He is a member of The College of Optometrists of Ontario and is certified by the College of Optometrists of Ontario to prescribe pharmaceutical therapeutic ocular agents. Dr Jag Gill’s focus of practice is primary eye care with an emphasis on the treatment and management of ocular diseases. He has extensive experience in the management of LASIK/PRK/RLE and Corneal Cross-linking patients and has great relationships with all major laser Centres across Ontario including TLC, LasikMD, Bochner Institute and Herzig.
On the personal side he enjoys outdoor activities like gardening and hiking. He enjoys playing basketball alongside a great group of friends including Dr. Prit Shoan and Dr. Kuv Gill and has been doing so for over the last 15 years. Nowadays any free time he has is spent cooking up a storm for his four boys.
Dr. Kuv Gill, BSc Hons, OD
Dr. Kuv Gill graduated from the New England College of Optometry in 1999. His training was at Boston area hospitals where he gained a wealth of experience in treating and managing eye disease. After concurrently completing the American National Board of Examiners in Optometry and the Canadian Standards Assessment in Optometry, Dr. Kuv Gill remained in New York State to increase his scope of experience in prescribing medications for eye conditions. One of Dr Kuv Gill’s most memorable times was when he had a unique opportunity to join 12 fellow classmates from New England, on an unforgettable volunteer mission to Mexico to help provide over 2500 eye exams and 2000 donated eyeglasses to local underprivileged villagers. Dr. Kuv Gill has also been a Canadian National Boards Examiner, ensuring competence standards are being met for new graduates in the profession.
Dr. Colin Braganza, BSc, OD
Dr. Braganza completed an Honours Bachelor of Science at The University of Western Ontario and earned his Doctorate degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston. He gained valuable experience during his externships at the Vision Institute of Canada, Community Health and Veterans Affairs Hospitals in Massachusetts and New York. During his second year of study he accompanied VOSH (Volunteer Optometry Students for Humanity), on a mission to Mexico where thousands of eye examinations and glasses were provided to the underprivileged. Touched by the level of gratitude shown and the fulfillment it provided, he organized a second VOSH mission to Mexico the following year.
Since graduating in 2002, Dr. Braganza has been committed to and has thoroughly enjoyed seeing patients in Brampton, Richmond Hill and now Aurora. In addition to the attention he devotes to asssssing refractive disorders and accurate glasses prescriptions, he offers expertise in the management of dry eye, glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Braganza also has special interest in contact lens fitting and LASIK pre and post operative management.
He is a member of The College of Optometrists Of Ontario and is certified by the College of Optometrists of Ontario to prescribe pharmaceutical therapeutic ocular agents.
His goal is to provide exceptional care for every aspect of visual and ocular health.
When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He has been active as a volunteer for house league soccer and likes to play and watch basketball.
Dr. Daniel Rubin, BSc, OD
Dr. Daniel Rubin graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science in 2015. During his final year of study, he completed various clinical internship rotations in and around the city of Toronto, including an ocular disease and therapeutics rotation focusing on retinal diseases such as macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. His expertise lies in general family practice with special interest in ocular disease, pediatrics and contact lens fitting and care. He is a member of The College of Optometrists of Ontario and is certified by the College of Optometrists of Ontario to prescribe pharmaceutical therapeutic ocular agents. Dr. Rubin currently lives with his wife and two sons in Richmond Hill. He looks forward to providing high standards of vision care to patients of all ages.
Dr. Karanveer Kamra, BSc, OD
Dr. Karanveer S. Kamra received his Honours Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and Health Science at York University and graduated with Magna cum laude in 2015. He continued his studies at the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science and graduated on the Dean’s Honour List.
During his studies he completed his ocular disease and therapeutics clerkship in Ophthalmology with Dr. Fadi Calotti, co-managing routine and on-call emergency cases at the Great Lakes Eye Center and the Brantford General Hospital.
Dr. Kamra’s clinical interests include ocular diseases, with a special interest in dry eye disease. He is a member of The College of Optometrists of Ontario and is certified by the College of Optometrists of Ontario to prescribe pharmaceutical therapeutic ocular agents. Dr. Kamra is also a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrist and can provide care in English, Punjabi and Hindi. Dr. Kamra strives to optimize the visual system to meet patient needs and believes in educating patients, allowing them to be involved in their care.
Dr. Prit Shoan, BSc, OD
Dr. Prit Shoan has been a member of our optometric team since 1999. He is Director of Optometric Services at Prism Eye Institute. Dr. Shoan’s career has evolved over 20 years, beginning as an associate out of Optometry school, and then starting his own successful retail practice in Mississauga. In 2003, Dr. Shoan joined Credit Valley Eye Care to focus on treatment and management of ocular diseases in primary eye care. Dr. Shoan is a member of The College of Optometrists of Ontario and is certified by the College of Optometrists of Ontario to prescribe pharmaceutical therapeutic ocular agents.
He is an avid sports enthusiast particularly NFL football and himself has been part of a basketball league alongside Dr Jag & Kuv Gill for the past 15 years.
Dr. Amardeep Bhogal, BSc, OD
Dr. Amardeep Bhogal obtained her Doctor of Optometry from The New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts in 2014. She completed her Bachelor of Science at Western University in London, Ontario prior to her optometry degree. Dr. Bhogal gained a wide breadth of experience through her optometry internships, which specialized in ocular disease, pediatrics, and special needs populations. Dr. Bhogal spent 2017 broadening her experience by working internationally in the United Kingdom. Dr. Bhogal strives to provide clear and comprehensive eye exams, with the belief that communication is our strongest tool. She is a member of The College of Optometrists of Ontario and is certified by the College of Optometrists of Ontario to prescribe pharmaceutical therapeutic ocular agents. Her hobbies include traveling, baking, and reading.
